Tustin Chiropractor

Tustin is about 16 miles from Functional Restoration Institute, usually 25–40 minutes on the 55 south to the 73, to 26400 La Alameda, Suite 100 in Mission Viejo. Drs. Sani and Tara Kohen see Old Town, Tustin Legacy, and North Tustin patients for full visits.

Old Town, the Legacy, and the North Tustin hills

Tustin has three different weeks. Old Town is walkable, with short blocks and a lot of sitting in cafes and small offices. Tustin Legacy, on the old base, is wide, new, and built around a car. North Tustin and the hills toward Foothill are grades, older homes, and a drive down to the 55. A low back from Legacy commuting is not a knee from a North Tustin hill. We ask which one you live in before we guess at a load.

The District and the shopping around the Legacy add standing errands on top of desk jobs. Neck pain and headaches often belong to the screen. Knee pain and hip pain show up when hill residents add steps without a plan. Plantar fasciitis shows up in people whose walking is almost all concrete between the car and a door.

South on the 55

The 55 south to the 73 is the usual path to La Alameda. About 16 miles. Twenty-five minutes is a good day. Forty is a 55 that is not cooperating. Address: 26400 La Alameda, Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691. Parking at the building. Monday through Thursday, 9 to 6.

Do not book the visit as a gap between school pickup in Old Town and a meeting. The exam needs you present, not halfway back on the freeway in your head. Call (949) 312-1754. A complimentary 20-minute consultation is available if you want to meet the doctors before an evaluation.

Chiropractic, rehab, and labs from Tustin

McKenzie Method work is a strong fit when back or neck pain has a direction that makes it better or worse. Corrective exercise is the homework. Adjustments are used when a specific joint is restricted, after the screen that says a thrust is appropriate.

Functional medicine visits cover thyroid, sleep, and gut health when those are the actual complaint. The Tustin chiropractor page collects the local routes into the three pillars.

Fees, referrals, and the doctors

Out of network. Superbill. HSA and FSA. No referral required. We will not change a prescription from your physician. Emergency symptoms, including sudden neurologic loss, go to the ER rather than to La Alameda.

Drs. Sani and Tara Kohen practice at FRI. Their backgrounds are on the about page. The suite and gym are on the office page.

Rotator Cuff Injuries

Rotator cuff injuries here means overload or strain of the tendons that steer and stabilize the shoulder, not an automatic surgical label. A painful lifting arc and true weakness are the clinical clues. A tear on an MRI does not, by itself, require an operation. Care builds tendon load gradually, treats irritable tissue, and restores scapular control. The local page is Rotator Cuff Injuries treatment for Tustin.

Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder, or adhesive capsulitis, is a capsular problem that moves through painful, stiff, and thawing stages. Forcing range usually flares it. Care uses gentle joint mobilization, motion that respects pain, and scapular or DNS work so the whole shoulder girdle is not abandoned. Diabetes is associated for some people and is not treated on this page. The local page is Frozen Shoulder treatment for Tustin.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is irritation of the median nerve at the wrist, often with night tingling in the thumb, index, and middle fingers and a grip that feels clumsy. The neck can refer similar symptoms and has to be screened. Neurodynamics and soft tissue work may help milder cases. Severe weakness or thenar wasting should also see a physician. The local page is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome treatment for Tustin.

Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is widespread pain with heightened sensitivity, alongside poor sleep, fatigue, and a mind that feels foggy. Functional Restoration Institute does not claim to cure it. Care may work on movement tolerance, a more stable sleep schedule, and pacing. Gut, hormone, or inflammation questions are opened only when your history actually points there. The local page is Fibromyalgia treatment for Tustin.

TMJ Dysfunction

Jaw pain, clicking, limited opening, and a related headache can come from the temporomandibular joint, the chewing muscles, or both. The neck and upper back often share the load. Clenching is a history question, not a character flaw. Dental causes, including the bite and the teeth, stay with your dentist. This clinic does not claim to fix an occlusion. The local page is TMJ Dysfunction treatment for Tustin.

Vertigo

Dizziness is not one symptom. Spinning vertigo, lightheadedness, and a cervical pattern are different, and a webpage cannot diagnose which one you have. Sudden neurologic signs belong in emergency care. Positional spinning is often treated with maneuvers by clinicians trained to do them. This clinic evaluates dizziness and coordinates when another specialty is the right next step. The local page is Vertigo treatment for Tustin.

Hormonal Imbalance

Hormone symptoms rarely live in one gland. Cycle changes, thin sleep, temperature swings, and uneven energy often reflect how sex hormones, cortisol, and thyroid signals interact. This page explains how those patterns are sorted, and why a dried urine map can answer a different question than a single morning blood draw. The local page is Hormonal Imbalance treatment for Tustin.

Thyroid Dysfunction

Thyroid trouble is not one feeling. A slow pace can leave you cold, heavy, and constipated. A fast pace can leave you hot, shaky, and awake at night. This page explains why a lone TSH result can miss the question you brought in, and what a fuller panel is built to show. The local page is Thyroid Dysfunction treatment for Tustin.

Gait & Postural Analysis

Gait and postural analysis is a clinical look at how you stand and how you walk. Feet, hips, and trunk are watched together, and the notes change the plan. It is observation in the room, not a claim about a three-dimensional laboratory. The work sits in Neuromuscular Rehabilitation. Dr. Tara Kohen uses what she sees to pick a drill, a joint to treat, or a shoe question to ask. Details for this city are on Gait & Postural Analysis.

Questions patients ask

How long from Tustin Legacy or from North Tustin?

About 16 miles and 25 to 40 minutes via the 55 south to the 73, to 26400 La Alameda, Suite 100, Mission Viejo. North Tustin adds a few minutes to reach the freeway.

Is Old Town close enough that I should expect a quick visit?

The drive is moderate, and the visit is not quick. Most care sessions run 30 to 60 minutes. The 20-minute consultation is the short appointment, and it is for fit, not treatment.

Can you see me for headaches and for a thyroid question?

Yes, as related or separate problems. A neck-driven headache is a movement exam. A thyroid question is a history and a possible panel, and medication stays with your prescriber. We will not pretend one technique answers both.

Do you take insurance?

We are out of network and provide superbills. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Call (949) 312-1754.
